The opening of VinCaffe last Monday - the latest venture by family- owned Italian food and drinks business Valvona & Crolla - marked another coup for LaSalle Investment Management, which is running the development on behalf of owner British Coal Pension Fund.

Philip Contini, who owns Valvona with other family members, told the Sunday Herald that the experience of setting up cafe/restaurant VinCaffe had inspired him to turn the brand into a chain.
